Superb location. Very traditional facade but super modern inside.Directly opposite the canal to access everything Amsterdam has to offer. Fabulous staff who made us feel so welcome after a very long, delayed flight, a long wait for immigration at the airport and somewhat challenging transfer by a very antagonistic driver in a privately organised car from the airport. We were therefore not sure what to expect when we arrived at the hotel . It is surrounded by multiple eating options, and hence we were very pleasantly surprised and uplifted by our experience. Directly opposite the railway station so access to everything.There were super comfortable beds- I'd selected twins as felt after a long haul flight we'd need to stretch out which was very much appreciated after a long couple of days travelling and they were fitted with first class bed linen. We opted out of daily cleaning service and got a bottle of wine in lieu. This was a lovely gesture as we really advocate for the "green" option. Delicious buffet breakfast.

I recently returned from a 4 night stay at the art’otel and can’t say enough good things about the hotel service. Everyone at the front desk was so helpful and professional (I wish I knew names to personally recognize a few). I had a problem with my phone charger and within minutes someone came to my room and then lent me one from the hotel. Loved all the quirky artsy touches around the property too - every day I saw something I’d previously missed. Rooms were well appointed- my only very minor complaint is that there should be a card giving the hours for breakfast and how to reach the front desk by phone - that would be helpful

We had a chance to stay here for 2 nights before a conference. Hotel is ideally located near Centraal station and within walking distance of Dam square, the old town and the beautiful Jordaan district. Most canal cruises start right there. The hotel itself is quirky in a good way with art pieces all around. It has a very comfortable lounge, lovely restaurant where a great breakfast can be had and a top class bar. Rooms were very spacious and well appointed. Staff were great as well. Highly recommended.

Great location, all of the amazing staff from Mireia at guest services to Rodrigo - all friendly and helpful. on our last day we ended up hugging staff members good bye and taking selfies with them. That's a sign of a great vacation and a wonderful stay.

Excellent location, surprisingly quiet rooms and a great hotel bar We stayed here for two nights and had a very enjoyable stay. The location is hard to beat—just a couple of minutes’ walk from Amsterdam Centraal Station, making it ideal for arriving by train or exploring the city on foot. Our room was excellent and, despite overlooking the tram lines, was surprisingly quiet. We both slept very well. The front desk staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming throughout our stay. The only minor criticism was the number and placement of power outlets. There were very few, and some were in rather unusual locations. I even unplugged the radio and kettle to gain an extra socket before discovering that one outlet was controlled by a light switch! Although the main restaurant was closed during our stay, we ate in the bar instead and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, the wine list was particularly impressive for a hotel bar, and the bartenders on both Monday and Wednesday were outstanding—friendly, professional and genuinely engaging. The cocktails on Wednesday evening were especially memorable. Overall, this is an excellent hotel in a fantastic location. Apart from the minor issue with the power outlets, I would happily stay here again and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-run hotel in the heart of Amsterdam.
