Visit this sprawling, large-scale congress center while attending one of the many professional events held there throughout the year. The events span many interests and professions, with options like interior design exhibitions, homeware shows, food shows, agricultural events, and trade fairs.
The current venue
With an area of over 90,000 square meters, the expo center is an ideal venue for large-scale events. It has 9 halls of varied specifications to meet diverse needs. This established venue continues to be available for major Toulouse events while a new venue is being developed.
The new venue
The new location is north of Blagnac, mainly in the municipalities of Aussonne and Beauzelle. The site's striking white architecture and clean lines are sure to impress you as you make your way around the expo grounds in the innovation zone of Toulouse.
The event spaces cover more than 100,000 square meters and some parts are still under construction until 2021. In terms of capacity, this expo center is the third largest after the venues in Paris and Lyon.
The building, also called PEx, consists of three areas: the multipurpose convention hall, a column-free exhibition hall, and a large parking garage in the middle. It was envisioned as a venue that can adapt to any kind of event. There will also be an outdoor exhibition area just outside the convention hall, as well as two external parking lots.
PEx has been designed by the world-renowned Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and Toulouse-based Puig-Pujol & Taillandier. Rather than spreading construction out over the 100-hectare field they were given, the architects kept the buildings as compact as possible in order to better control the complex's environmental impact.
Easily accessible from the Toulouse-Blagnac Airport and the Toulouse-Matabiau train station, the new expo center has a convenient location for visitors and exhibitors.
