Well, wasn’t that lovely. I recently spend a week at this hotel and was not disappointed, rather I was thrilled and I sincerely hope to come back here again. A brand new beach front Radisson Collection not far from Galle, with only 106 rooms, which adds to the very pleasant and intimate atmosphere. The hotel is divided into two buildings, one holding the reception and gym on the top floor as well as rooms in the floors in between, rooms here will have sun from dawn until around noon and then be in the shade (covered by the other building), which was perfect for me. The other building seems to have rooms on both sides, thus some rooms are blessed with sunshine from dawn until noon, the others vice versa. The hotel has two outside pools, both equipped with a pool bar. The bigger pool has sun from morning until around two o’clock, two hot tubs/jacuzzis and with a beach area with white sand from the Maldives in front of the real beach literally just in front of you, a couple steps and you go from to Cool pool or hot tub into the Indian Ocean. The other pool is on the opposite side of the building, this has shade in the morning and will have sun in the afternoon with a good looking lawn on one side and the Japanese restaurant on the other side (this is were breakfast is served, the breakfast is not a buffet but ala carte which made sure the atmosphere was quiet and no running and screaming and all that, excellent touch and approach from the management). The staff is indeed excellent, lovely people, always smiling and ready to assist and help in anyway throughout the hotel. I had such a pleasant check in with the help of Anuki and very smooth checkout with Trevor, all while being seated in the lobby so I wouldn’t have to stand at check in counter, neat approach. I found the bar and restaurant to be truly excellent and also here the service was beyond pleasant, the staff attentiveness and care. Given that the hotel is less than a year old, it is obvious that the senior management is very attentive and must have good relationship and attention to all of staff for them to be beyond super in dealing with all their guests in such a excellent manner. A special thank you to Robert, Sameera and Sachini and all of their colleagues for making my stay most pleasant, I truly appreciate it and wish you all the best, I’m sure you’ll have success and give many many guests and truly great stay for many years to come. We had a fantastic experience at this hotel in Galle. The food was excellent, and the beach was very calm and peaceful. From the shore, we could see many ships passing by — it would be even better if the rooftop bar had a binocular for guests to enjoy watching them more closely! The rooftop bar was great, and the staff made our stay extra special. A big thank you to Dilini from the children’s play club — my baby loved her so much that she cried even at night wanting to stay with her! Also, special thanks to Thisali, who we first met at Eden Hotel — she is such a wonderful and friendly person, and it was lovely to meet her again here. Thilini from the front office (CRO) was very professional and welcoming. Prasad and the new team member in the restaurant also gave us great service. Overall, it was a memorable and heartwarming stay. Highly recommended — we will definitely visit again!
