Since opening in September 2013, OVO Hydro has hosted concerts featuring Rod Stewart, Prince, Katy Perry, and the MTV Europe Awards. The stage version of the television comedy Still Game played for 21 performances at the venue during a three-week run last year. It also staged the gymnastics and netball competitions during the Commonwealth Games last summer and the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award ceremony in December. The arena also hosts incredible sporting and entertainment events including the UFC's first event in Scotland - an event that could not have been held in any other arena of the country.
