Ulyanovsk
Enjoy Volga views in walking distance from the hotel
Discover the riverside city of Ulyanovsk. This historic city began as a fortress and was later renamed after Lenin, as the famous politician was born there. Ulyanovsk has also been designated as a UNESCO Creative City of Literature, in part due to famous writer Ivan Goncharov also being born in the city.
There are plenty of museums to explore—learn more about Ulyanovsk’s history in popular museums like the Memorial Museum of Vladimir Lenin or Urban Planning and Architecture of Simbirsk-Ulyanovsk. You’ll also find museums on interesting topics such as aviation, firefighting, and literary history, in addition to more traditional museums like art galleries, a planetarium, and a photography museum.
