As one of Transylvania's largest cities, Brașov is an excellent location where you can learn more about this lush Romanian region. Start your visit at the main square, known locally as The Council Square or Piața Sfatului. Here, you'll find a plethora of restaurants and landmarks, including the gothic Black Church. While exploring on foot, catch glimpses of the medieval walls, designed as fortifications, and make your way to Catherine's Gate, the only remaining city gate from the 16th century. Brașov is also home to Europe's narrowest street, Strada Sforii or Rope Street.
