The Warsaw National Museum is the largest museum in Warsaw and a national institute of culture for the Polish people and visitors alike. The collection hosts pieces from ancient Egypt, Rome and Greece, alongside Polish paintings and even paintings from Adolf Hitler's private collection, given to the museum by American authorities after the Second World War. The Warsaw National Museum has lots of permanent exhibitions as well as temporary works which will visit for several months at a time before being moved on to another museum or gallery. A particular highlight is the Gallery of Old European Painting; a Renaissance art collection divided over three floors. Guests can look forward to seeing some of the world's most significant works of art, such as the Sandro Botticelli Virgin and Child, St John and Angels painting and the classic Lucas Cranach the Elder piece, Adam and Eve.

Spend a day exploring the Old Town
Not far from the Warsaw National Museum, is Warsaw's historic Old Town, where guests can enjoy the city's' beautiful architecture, which was entirely rebuilt after the Second World War. Stroll around the Old Town Market Place, with its restaurants, cafes and bars. Its picture-perfect scenery will leave guests lost for words. Here, visitors can take a look at the Baroque-Classicist architecture of the Royal Castle and walk along Queen Anna's corridor to reach St John's Cathedral, a towering 16th century building from which the view is breathtaking. Tourists to the region can also visit the Warsaw Philharmonic, home to the Warsaw Philharmoic orchestra. Many famous composers have performed here including Stravinsky and Richard Strauss. Guests can buy tickets online for one of the orchestra's many performances prior to arrival in Warsaw.
