The stunning structure
The Musical Dome was opened in 1996. It is the largest theater in the city, seating up to 1700 guests. The outstanding architectural building is one to admire in Cologne's skyline. It is certainly the most eye-catching of the modern buildings, featuring prominent arches of steel that surround the concrete structure. During the night, the Dome is illuminated with blue lights that can be observed from the far. Getting there
The venue is easily located in the heart of the city center overlooking the River Rhine, close to the Cathedral of Cologne. Bus and trams drop you off by the main door. Cologne's main train station is walking distance from the Dome, take the Breslauer-Platz exit when leaving.
