Beijing held the Summer Olympics in August 2008 and although those games have now finished, the city has been left with world-class sporting facilities. Visitors to Beijing can tour most of the impressive buildings built for the Olympic Games, including the Beijing National Stadium and the Olympic Green Convention Centre.

Visit Beijing's Olympic Games venues First on your list of Olympic venues in Beijing should be the Beijing National Stadium. This highly distinctive stadium hosted the opening and closing ceremonies, plus all the track and field events. The stadium is currently used for football matches and one-off events such as the Race of Champions motorsport event.

The National Stadium is situated on the Olympic Green, which hosts many main Olympic venues. The Olympic Green Convention Centre, the Beijing National Indoor Stadium, and the Aquatics Centre can all be found there, plus fields for tennis, archery, and hockey. Visitors can also find the Olympic Village buildings and the Ling Long Pagoda nearby.
