Three things are worth settling early, how many people are coming, whether you want one main moment or an evening that moves between spaces, and how formal it should feel, because the same room works for seated rounds and for a standing reception.
Choosing the right room for your event
Every function room has natural daylight, its own climate control and lighting you can adjust, and between them they cover seven setup styles, from seated rounds to theater-style rows.
- For a party with dancing, Canongate takes a bar and a dance floor without borrowing space from the tables.
- For a seated dinner on a larger scale, St Giles is our biggest room, with a private entrance and its own breakout area and bar.
- Great Scots Hall is the room we use for wedding ceremonies, and it takes celebratory lunches and dinners as well.
- For something smaller, our mezzanine rooms suit gatherings that do not need a full function hall.
Menus and catering for your celebration
Catering is arranged around the shape of your event rather than a fixed menu, and our team will build it with you.
What is available:
- Three-course dinner packages from GBP 69 per person, including a welcome drink and half a bottle of wine per guest.
- Upgrade options and bespoke menus for events that need something different.
- Three-course buffet lunches with seasonal salads, hot main dishes and desserts.
Confirm two things early: the dietary requirements across your guest list, and the timing of each course against the rest of the evening.
