The location is absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway—tucked right in Sentrum on Øvre Slottsgate, it’s just an 8-minute walk from Oslo Central Station and a 3-minute stroll to Karl Johans Gate. We walked everywhere, from the harbor promenade to local restaurants. The highlight for us was how walkable everything was. The stunning Oslo Opera House is an easy, direct 10-to-15-minute walk from the property. From there, we just continued along the beautiful waterfront promenade right into Bjørvika to visit the incredible Munch Museum, don’t miss this exhibition for nothing if it’s your first time in Oslo. Being able to walk to these iconic spots without dealing with public transit was a massive plus. The breakfast buffet was a major highlight. They have a huge selection of high-quality hot and cold options. It does get a little busy during peak morning hours, but the staff did an incredible job keeping everything stocked and moving. The staff (especially the team at the front desk) were so welcoming and helpful. We’ll definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Oslo!

I had a great stay at the Radisson Red Oslo City Center. The location is excellent – very central and within easy walking distance of the train station, which made getting around extremely convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, always ready to help with any questions. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, offering everything I needed for a pleasant visit. Overall, a very good hotel that I would definitely choose again for a next trip to Oslo.

Stayed at this hotel in March 2026. The hotel is very well located in the city center, close to shops and restaurants. The central station is also in walking distance. The hotel room was clean, comfortable and modern. I had a breakfast at the hotel and it was great. I highly recommend this hotel.

Reading some of the other reviews, I think people are really nitpicking. This is a newly-refurbished hotel that is both clean and modern. The staff we encountered were pleasant (like everyone in Norway) and professional. The rooms are designed well, and there was surprisingly enough room to open all our luggage without tripping over anything (which, I think, is a first for us in Europe). Being winter, it did get too hot in the room and the thermostat seemed to not be modifiable. Once we figured out that we could crack the window, it cooled off to our liking. Bathroom was very clean and housekeeping did a great job. No one in my family had any complaints about this hotel. The gym is small-ish, but quite nice. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we're ever lucky enough to return to Oslo. This is, no joke, a great mid-class hotel.
