Through all of it, one of the most valuable lessons she’s learned has been effective delegation. “Early on, I thought I had to be involved in every detail. But real leadership is about building trust, mentoring others, and letting them lead in their space. That’s how you grow strong teams.” She also highlights the emotional resilience the role demands, “staying calm, clear, and human in tough moments is key. These moments test your leadership, but they are also where your impact becomes real.”

Her team and the small gestures that turn a guest’s stay into something memorable. “Mentoring my team and watching them grow into creators of meaningful experiences is one of the most fulfilling parts of my role.” Instead of waiting for big wins to celebrate, Marija focuses on consistent, meaningful touchpoints that keep her team motivated and connected. Monthly breakfasts, informal coffee chats, and cross-departmental moments of collaboration create space for recognition, conversation, and shared purpose. “These aren’t just social moments, they’re intentional opportunities to make people feel seen, heard, and valued.
