"Fabulous hotel, well located, great for Matlock Bath illuminations"

We visited on a Saturday night in October, as we were going to see the illuminated boats and fireworks. We had a fabulous room in the annex, spacious & light, with a balcony and views over the lido pool. The bathroom looked newly renovated, with a great walk in shower. You can drive right up to the annex door, making it so easy to get your luggage inside too. We had a lovely breakfast the next morning, all buffet service, with hot and cold options. The hotel is well located, a 10 minute walk to the Derwent gardens and start of the town centre. Staff service was excellent throughout our visit. We had a great time here and will return.

My sister booked an afternoon tea for my 79th birthday. The experience was absolutely wonderful. Easily found and accessible off the main road into Matlock Bath with ample parking. The attention and service was immaculate from the young lady in attendance and we were both very pleased with the whole experience. The food was absolutely top class and very plentiful.

I always look forward to staying at this hotel. It truly is a special place. We love the lido. It's magical. We love staying in the annex so we can overlook the pool.

Very nice surprise, we will be back! We had booked Afternoon Tea which came nicely presented and very fresh. We were served in the breakfast room, one of many reception rooms updated with contemporary furniture and tasteful decoration. All staff were nicely dressed and very service minded. And on top of that it came at a very reasonable price. Next time we will book tickets for the Lido!
