Advent in Pula 2025

Advent in Pula begins on November 30, 2025, and continues until January 11, 2026, bringing an expanded festive program to the city. The highlight of last year’s celebration, the iconic Arena, returns with an even richer atmosphere, alongside five additional locations filled with cultural, musical, and gastronomic experiences. Visitors can enjoy traditional Istrian dishes, modern street-food specialties, hot chocolate, and mulled wine throughout the city.

The City of Graz Park becomes the central spot for children, offering creative workshops, performances, and visits to the enchanting house of Santa and Grandma Claus. On weekends, the Pula City Market adds to the festive ambiance with live performances, while the popular Great Padela tradition invites everyone to taste complimentary seafood risotto, scrambled eggs, and game goulash. A new feature this year is the large Advent wreath encircling the Market Square fountain, where choirs will accompany the lighting of candles each Advent Sunday.

Giardini remains a cozy gathering point, while Portarata hosts an exciting music program from December 12 to January 3, featuring artists such as Vanna, Klapa Šufit, Hiljson Mandela, Psihomodo Pop, Buč Kesidi, and others. The Forum offers jazz, classical concerts, and holiday tunes, including a New Year’s celebration with Neno Belan. Portarata will welcome 2026 with performances by Gustafi and Lima Len.

Ice-skating rink in 2000 yeard old Arena
This winter, Pula transforms one of its most extraordinary landmarks, the Pula Arena, into a magical ice-skating destination. Set inside a nearly 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheater, the rink offers a rare opportunity to experience a beloved holiday tradition in one of the best-preserved ancient arenas in the world. Visitors of all ages can glide across the ice surrounded by towering stone arches and centuries of history, creating a breathtaking contrast between ancient architecture and festive modern entertainment. The rink is open throughout the Advent season and adds a unique dimension to Pula’s holiday program, drawing both locals and tourists who want to experience skating in a setting unlike any other in Europe.
The Pula Eye

This year, Advent in Pula is enriched with a new and spectacular attraction – the Pula Eye, a panoramic Ferris wheel offering one of the most beautiful winter views of the city. Rising high above the festive lights, the Pula Eye provides visitors with a unique opportunity to admire the Arena, the illuminated waterfront, and the old town from a completely new perspective. Each cabin is comfortable, sheltered from the wind, and ideal for enjoying the holiday atmosphere with family and friends.

The Pula Eye will be in operation from December 1 to January 11, and its gentle rotation makes it suitable for all ages. With its combination of festive charm and breathtaking panoramas, it is expected to become one of the most visited attractions of this year's Advent in Pula.

Music program
Giardini is already a well-known gathering place for relaxed gatherings, and Portarata from December 12 to January 3, as always, brings a diverse music program for all tastes, so this year you can sing along with Vanna, Klapa Šufit, Hiljson Mandela, Psihomodo Pop, Buč Kesidi, Silente, Linkin Park Piknik Park, Mila Kekina, Gitarijada presents – Rock on stage, Dino Dvornik Tribute band and Pips, Chips & Videoclipse. The Forum will be complemented by the sounds of jazz and classical music and Christmas carols. One of the most original young musicians who combines aspects of conventional and alternative hip hop – Lima Len – is in charge of the unforgettable New Year's Eve at Noon at Portarata. For the evening reception at Portarata, visitors will be made dance by the legendary Gustafi, and at the Forum, Neno Belan will introduce us to the New Year with the hits "Wine of the Night", "Ivona", "Seagull", "River of Dreams" and many others.
