After seeing the fabulous midnight sun in Rovaniemi, we took the train and stayed one night in Oulu so my husband could do the world's most northerly park run!. The Radisson Blu is right next to the park where the run takes place so I booked it up. It's about a 15 minute walk from the railway station and it's a gorgeous hotel... We stayed on the very top floor with views over the sea and the room was spacious and very comfortable. We even had our own sauna in the bathroom, but as the weather was hot when we travelled we didn't use it. The hotel has a lovely terrace with fabulous views across the water where you can get a drink and a meal. The staff were very helpful and the hotel has many facilities which we didn't have time to use as we only stayed one night. If you want breakfast then I suggest you book the bed and breakfast rate as that's cheaper than room only and paying separately. There's loads of choice for breakfast, and my husband is vegan and there was plenty for him too. The bay area around the hotel is lovely, with a lovely park and waterside walk. We didn't see much of the town but we wish we had a bit more time in Oulu as it is a lovely place.

Great hotel and great location in town. Premium hotel in Oulu, quiet room, and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was rich and high in quality. Also price was less than competitors @ same time. If traveling by car, big parking space in front of hotel.

We welcomed the New Year 2026 at Radisson Blu Hotel Oulu, and it was a wonderful experience. This was our second stay at Radisson and in the city of Oulu, and once again the hotel met all our expectations. The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and always ready to help — truly professional and welcoming. The breakfasts are excellent: very tasty, fresh, and with a great variety, perfect for the whole family. Special mention goes to the comfort of the room — very comfortable beds and high-quality pillows, which made our stay especially relaxing and ensured a great night’s sleep. Just spent 5 nights at Radisson Blu Hotel, Oulu. Modern, very well decorated, comfortable public areas. EXCELLENT breakfast. Pleasant staff. Very comfortable bed - best pillow I have had in a hotel for years! Good bathroom/shower, although it was quite high to get out of bath, if you are short. Not enough storage for clothes, just 2 small hanging rails and a couple of small, open shelves below (you have a lot of clothes with you in the winter!!). Room was at the front of the hotel, which faces onto a very brightly lit car park - I would ask for a room at the back of the hotel if the light bothers you (the blackout curtains still let in light around the edges). The bed was made each day, bathroom bin was emptied and towels were replaced daily (if requested), but room was not cleaned /glasses were not replaced daily. Room was cleaned and bedding renewed on 3rd day. 5-10 minutes walk to centre of town. Would definitely stay here again.

This a a good location with a very great team. Wonderful front desk staff for check-in. Get the Super Breakfast-- it is worth the cost, but the service will impress you more. The crew of ladies were fantastic-- smiles, attention to detail, and overall service orientation. The Bistro folks were solid as well. Nice room, hotel environment, and . One level of awareness...our run had a converted soaking tub to a shower and it was a BIG step up and down even for a 6'2" person like me.... use caution. No matter, we are planning to visit again! This place is in our top five of our "Go Back Again" list!
