Great time at the bar/restaurant

I didn't plan on eating here the first night, I had mapped out a restaurant I really wanted to try, but I walked around and around and couldn't find it (or anywhere really) so I decided to just have dinner at the hotel. Started with a beer (or two) and the bartender that night was very friendly. He spoke pretty good english and we chatted quite a bit (maybe too much for his coworkers) but when I first got there it wasn't too busy. It picked up. I wanted something light and he recommended a russian salad. I wasn't sure I wanted THAT light haha, but he said it has chicken on it so it's more of a meal and I gave it a try. I found it to be absolutely delicious! It wasn't a salad like I was expecting (lettuce, tomato, etc), it was more like a potato salad kind of thing, plus the chicken pieces and bread. I loved it and exactly what I needed. The next day I was heading out late afternoon and ran into my friends at the bar who were also staying there and we ended up drinking and eating there all evening. Went to the restaurant side this night, but got the russian salad again. I did try some russian caviar (not for me, but not sure I'd like any caviar). My friend liked it a lot. My other friend loved the beet soup but I didn't try it. I drank the beer on tap most of the time, but I did have one vodka as did all my friends (well they had more than one) but it was extremely smooth vodka and I don't usually drink it plain. For a hotel bar/restaurant I would rate this top tier! View more
