Our recently opened restaurant Mirmir has become more than a hotel restaurant. Mímir and Mímisbar, the hotel lobby bar, have become the talk of the town, especially because of the attractive prices for lunch and dinner and due to its location in the trendy neighborhood of Vesturbær— in the west end of the city of Reykjavik.
Mímir offers a great selection of food options. Our guests have the choice of a set three-course menu, as well as á la carte menu. Many of the dishes can be ordered half-sized or can be shared between family or friends. Choose also from our street food dishes, among them our Farmer‘s burger or our popular crispy chicken legs—they are to die for.
Being owned by the Icelandic Farmers Association we are proud to offer the farm to the table. We emphasize on the best available ingredients and we cook in harmony with the seasons.
Our head chef is Sigurður Helgason, a well-known chef who competed in Bocuse d'Or, representing Iceland in 2015 and was a member of the Icelandic national culinary team for many years. Snædís Xyza Mae is also a chef at Mímir. In 2018, she won the competition of dessert of the year and is also a member of the Icelandic national culinary team. Our head waiter, Sigurður Borgar, was elected The Waiter Apprentice of the Year 2017.
What is more, Mímir restaurant was recommended by the White Guide Nordic 19-20 October 2019, only one year after its opening.
