Returned with friends for four nights after a visit the previous year when we had one or two 'misunderstandings'. This year all was more than well. Booked as 'senior members' and got a very reasonable price. Room was very good with all expected requirements provided. We were given complimentary breakfasts for our stay (possibly because of our queries regarding our previous visit) which was a €25 per person per day bonus. Breakfast provided a very wide range of choice, with cereal, breads, pastries, cooked food and cold meats and cheese etc. Other items could be ordered from the menu (fried/poached eggs etc.), The staff throughout the hotel were efficient, cheerful and helpful. Parking was conveniently next to the main entrance and should have been €6 per night, but were only charged for one night as, we were told, we had visited previously. Although we were adjacent to the railway station, the sound insulation ensured we didn't hear any train, or other noise from outside. The bar was very nice, altough, as with most hotel bars, a little expensive. It was a reasonably short walk into the beautiful city, and we would recommend visiting the theatre area to the west, which we discovered for the first time despite several previous visits to the city.
