Taste several fine wines at this picturesque vineyard and winery in Cuyahoga Falls which produces approximately 10,000 gallons a year and sell them directly to customers. Sarah’s Vineyard, operated by Mike and Margaret Lytz, is much more than just a place to get wine, with outdoor dining, live music and entertainment, as well as an art gallery.
Located close to Blossom Music Center and Porthouse Theater, it's the ideal place for a pre-show meal and wine tasting.
Wine in a National Park
The owners of the vineyard first started planning their vineyard in 2001 and, after spending time getting permission to build it, they started cultivating their land. The opened their doors to the public in 2007, in the magnificent rural location of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. A drive to Sarah’s Vineyard means a glimpse of the beauty of the area. Approach from the west and wind through the river valley, passing by lands that housed small working farms more than a century ago and do again, thanks to an initiative that is encouraging people to take up agriculture once more.
The vineyard sits on 15 acres on the edge of the valley, across the street from the entrance to Blossom Music Center, and has picturesque views of the forest. The winery is housed in an 1854 barn that they had moved to the site and completes the rural atmosphere that Mike and Margaret Lytz were looking for. They grow several grape varieties at the bonded Ohio winery and make nearly a dozen wines, including whites and reds from sweet to dry. Sample some of these wines at a low cost to find a wine to your taste and take it home with you.
