Donald M. Gordon Chinguacousy Park, to give it's full title, was named after Donald M. Gordon, who helped form the parks and recreation programs in Brampton, as well as Chippewa Chief Shinguacose, who died in 1858. The formal gardens and greenhouse are a must-see for those with an interest in botany, with a charming variety of interesting species to admire. Enjoy the wood-clad structures and reflective roofs that blend into the natural environment and are made of recycled materials with eco-friendly energy management systems. Take a walk or sit by the water or hire a paddle boat and sail across it in style. You'll love reading on the cool terrace on warm summer days. Chinguacousy Park: A hub of activity

Alongside a top-class track and field and all-year tennis courts, there's also beach volleyball courts. Go ice skating on the park's exciting outdoor skating trail. The trail features natural bends to allow novices and experts to practice their skating and enjoy a natural flow. The 2,000 square meter track can accommodate up to 500 skaters, but if you prefer just to watch the fun, there's seating all around the trail. During summer, the canal becomes a cooling reflective fountain. And it doesn't end there for winter sport enthusiasts. There's also a curling facility and a ski hill. Mount Chinguacousy is open from late December through to March and is the perfect place to enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and tubing.
